The Lakeshore Path

If you are a UW-Madison student, you have more than likely walked along the Lakeshore Path. Spanning for miles along the shore of Lake Mendota and through the Lakeshore Nature Preserve, the Lakeshore Path is one of UW-Madison’s most distinctive features. Here you can take a break from classes and homework or take the scenic route to class. If you are a runner or a biker, this is the perfect place to check out. The Lakeshore Path connects the Memorial Union Terrace to Picnic Point. Along the path, you can stop at Muir Woods or Observatory Hill. Or if you want to keep going, you can explore Picnic Point and other notable sights in the Lakeshore Nature Preserve.
